Prophase Cell and Metaphase Cell
 Questions to ask yourself: Look at cell (C) first. Do you see any evidence of centrioles and the start of a spindle? Name the stage represented. Now look at the other cell. Is a spindle present? Are asters present? How many chromosomes are present in the onion cell during this stage? How many centromeres? How many chromatids? How many kinetochores? Where are the centrioles in this photograph? Name the stage represented by this cell.
