 Fetal Pig Dissection

Despite some information on the web to the contrary, fetal pigs are not killed just to provide dissection specimens for biology students. This idea just does not make sense. These animals are unborn, and are taken out of the mother pigs at the slaughter house. They would otherwise be thrown out and wasted if biology students did not dissect them. This is an appropriate and useful function for an animal which would otherwise have no value.
