Teacher Expectations of students:

Bring chemistry materials daily-text, binder, calculator, pens, pencils, etc.
Remember and use manners-"please" and 'thank you" are very helpful in any setting.
Approach all assignments with an open mind and serious intent. Students will be expected to be engaged in their learning and to think about the process of why we are doing certain activities.
DO NOT wait for EXTRA CREDIT opportunities (if you have time for extra credit then you have time to spend on your homework and studying for tests).
Submit all assignments in class on the given due date. Please do not request extensions except for illness. Formal lab reports will be typed or written in ink.
Abide by the school's honor code and other departmental policies concerning tests, homework and electronic devices.

Assessment: Students will be assessed on their learning and understanding on lab activities and written reports, homework assignments, quizzes and tests. An end of course exam will also be given.
